TealHQ
This is the tool I recommend to every single client on day one. TealHQ lets you track applications, tailor your resume to each job posting, and keep your entire job search organized in one place. If you're applying to more than 5 jobs, you need this.
Simplify.jobs
Simplify saves you hours every week by autofilling job applications. It pulls your info and drops it into application forms across multiple job boards. It's not perfect for every site, but the time savings are real. A game changer for the application grind.
Lavender
Lavender coaches you on your emails in real time. It scores your message and tells you exactly what to fix: too long, too formal, missing personalization. I use it with clients for networking outreach and follow-up emails. Your reply rates will go up.
Yoodli
Yoodli records your practice interviews and gives you feedback on filler words, pacing, and confidence. It's like having a speaking coach available 24/7. I recommend this to every client who gets nervous in interviews. Practice out loud, not in your head.
Uli AI
Uli is a free AI mock interview tool that I recommend at every workshop I run. You pick the role, it asks you questions, and gives you feedback on your answers. It's not the same as practicing with a real person, but it's the next best thing. And it's free.
Boardy AI
Boardy uses AI to match you with people who can actually help your career. It's like a networking event that runs in the background. I've seen clients make real connections through it. If cold outreach feels awkward, this takes the pressure off.
Hunter.io
Hunter.io finds email addresses for people at any company. When you want to reach out to a hiring manager directly instead of applying through the black hole of an online portal, this is how you find their email. 25 free searches per month.

Glassdoor
Glassdoor is your first stop for salary research and company culture intel. Look at the trends, not individual reviews. If 30 people mention bad management, that's a pattern. I teach clients to bring Glassdoor data into interviews as smart, researched questions.
Indeed
Indeed is solid for salary research and finding job postings. I don't recommend relying only on job boards (you'll end up in the hamster wheel), but Indeed's salary data is useful when you're building your negotiation range.
Payscale
Payscale gives you detailed salary ranges by role, location, and experience level. When a recruiter asks your salary expectations, you want three data points from three different sources. Payscale is always one of them.
Levels.fyi
If you're in tech, Levels.fyi is gold. Real compensation data from real employees at real companies. Base salary, stock, bonuses, the full picture. Way more accurate than Glassdoor for tech roles. I use this with every tech client.
Crunchbase
Crunchbase tells you how much funding a company has raised, who their investors are, and how fast they're growing. If you're considering a startup, this helps you figure out if they can actually afford to pay you. Do your homework.

Fathom
I use Fathom for every single coaching call. It records, transcribes, and pulls out action items automatically. Over 353 calls recorded and counting. If you're doing informational interviews or networking calls, record them (with permission) so you can follow up on specific details later.
Zoom
Zoom is still the standard for video calls. Most interviews and networking conversations happen here. Make sure your audio is clean, your background isn't distracting, and your camera is at eye level. The basics matter more than you think.
